My Weakness For His Strength

My Weakness for His Strength -

Give God your problems and He’ll give you His Strength!

“I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” Philippians 4:13 AMP

Infuse (vb) – to soak, marinate or steep; to fill or cause to be filled w/something; to pour into.

God told Paul, “My strength is made perfect in your weakness.” When we try to face life’s trials and temptations on our own; when we try to bare up under the strain – we will not make it. Our Heavenly Father wants us to come to Him, to depend on Him – to trust Him! He has all power and is the only one who can empower us to go through and take ‘it’ (whatever ‘it’ is).

It is God’s strength that makes us strong. We are weak on our own BUT we are not on our own because Christ promised to never leave us. He has seeped us with His strength, empowered us with His presence and He permeates our beings, our minds and souls with His divine grace and favor.

2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP

In our weakness His strength is made perfect. Thus when we appear to be at our weakest that is when we are truly at our strongest.

Prayer for this Hour:  Father, please pitch your tent of Strength all around me and infuse your grace into my heart and soul. It’s by faith that I receive it even now in the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen (So Be It)

Those Damned Stone Throwers

Those Damned Stone Throwers -

It’s an old adage that says when you live in a glass house don’t throw stones. We know Jesus didn’t use that terminology with the scribes and Pharisees but he did say this to them: “He that is without sin among you let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8:7

Dear hearts, if we as the people of God sincerely receive the teachings of Jesus Christ and follow the example He set before us in His holy word and apply it to our everyday lives then the Fruit of the Spirit, the very nature of our living God, will be manifested among men making us the bright and shining light in a sin-darkened world. If on the other hand we choose to not apply his word we risk taking on the spirit of the scribes and Pharisees and becoming self-righteous, hypocritical and judgmental – children of the devil, and foreigners to God.

According to the law of the time the adulterous woman Jesus was referring to in the opening scripture should have been stoned to death but Jesus showed her mercy and forgiveness not judgment and condemnation. Our Lord’s words still speak to the scribes and Pharisees found in today’s churches. Let there not be such a spirit among us else we too be convicted by our own sinful conscious just as they were.

Oh it’s easy to gossip about the sins of others but what about the sins we have committed since we’ve been saved? Isn’t it amazing how easy it is for us to find fault in others but it seems to be difficult to find the fault within ourselves? I wonder why! It’s puzzling because the only ones who will be held accountable for our sins in the day of God’s righteous Judgment is us!

Jesus Christ, the Hope of Glory is the only just judge.

"Neither do I condemn you..."

“Neither do I condemn you…”

Jesus is the only sinless one that ever lived on earth. This is why he was able to tell the adulterous woman “Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more.” John 8:11

Only Jesus could say those precious words to the accused woman without condemning himself! Glory to God!

Does this mean that we are to take sin lightly? Of course not. Jesus has never condoned sin for anyone but He does grant forgiveness of sin for everyone. Our blessed Savior is rich in mercy, compassionate toward all and His love is ever lasting, not because we deserve it but because that’s just who He is.

So let’s examine ourselves before we judge others and acknowledge our own faults before we set out to find fault in others. And let us think before we speak negatively about those who have fallen into sin. Our Heavenly Father knows all things, the seen and unseen of all his blessed children, still He shows mercy and grace toward us.

Should we not do the same?

If we were still living under the law instead of grace I’d be dead! Oh yes I would. Matthew 7:1-5 says:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

May the word of God saturate our hearts with the agape love of Jesus Christ that we may earnestly pray for those who are weak in the faith, considering ourselves, that we too need God’s forgiveness in our lives and the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Let’s never forget that God sent His Son into the world not to condemn but to set us free from our sins. We must follow his example, we can do no less. I encourage all the blood washed in Christ Jesus to not be found guilty of being named among those damned stone throwers.

May the blessings of God continue to be upon each of us.

Praise God Anyhow!

Praise God Any How - Saint In
Truly dear hearts I love to praise and worship our God because He’s so worthy of all the glory, honor and praise. No matter what life brings to our door step, He’s still worthy! Oh yes He is! I could not have said this from my heart some years ago because I didn’t understand or know that there is an in-spite-of praise that I would have to learn to give to our Heavenly Father.

It was real easy for me to praise God as long as He was blessing me (that’s called the-because-of praise); that kind of praise cost nothing but the in-spite-of praise isn’t free. This kind of praise can only be taught by the school master of test and trials – that’s what God allowed in order to make me who I am today and it will continue to make me in the future. I haven’t arrived where God wants me to be yet but I am changing, little by little and (I believe so are you).

It takes time to be molded and shaped by the power of God so don’t rush the process. Be patient with God and with your selves; don’t charge God foolishly but trust Him in what He’s molding and shaping you to become.

You can trust his plans for you because He loves us!

It took me many years to believe and accept His love simply because I didn’t love myself. I thought surely I wasn’t worthy of His love. But Satan is a liar and he can’t tell the truth. He can’t make me believe that lie anymore! Oh bless the living God! How can I believe anything but the truth: God loves me, me and yes, me again and again! God has brought me through so much, from the troubles I experienced in my youth through two bouts with cancer as an adult – I just can’t tell it all BUT I can tell you this much: there’s nobody who can do us like Jesus!

When I had colon cancer in 2006 God gave me this scripture to read:

Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

In 2010 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer He once again gave me words of encouragement from His holy word:

Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

And it kept getting better! When my daughter and I went to my sister’s house to tell her the doctor’s prognosis (so that she could sympathize with me), I’d barely gotten the ‘bad news’ out of my mouth when God anointed her in the Holy Spirit and spoke these glorious, victorious and powerful words to me: “It’s not bad news. You shall live and not die.”!

Oh what a rejoicing time we had in that kitchen! Dear hearts I’m still here! A living, breathing testimony of God’s healing and keeping power. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

I have only to think on his goodness, his mercy towards me and I get so happy, happy, happy in my soul – I’m like David dancing before the Lord. Dear ones even at sixty years of age this living testimony can dance before the Lord all night and then some. Thank God there’s no age limit in the Spirit.

We are going to rejoice in heaven with Him for eternity what more for this short time while we’re here on earth?

Yes Dear Hearts, God will carry us through the rough stuff and it can get pretty rough but when you can’t stand like you want to, hang on where you can but whatever you do don’t let go. It’s in His name and through His blood that we have the victory.

Don’t do what I did years ago; don’t fall into Satan’s trap of despair. The last thing our foe wants us to do is praise and worship God. That demon of the soul knows that God inhabits the praises of His people. There’s no wonder the Heavenly host cry aloud, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

To those of us who have not lost the will to praise God from our hearts, continue to praise Him no matter what may come. And yet there are some who are not so sure they can hold on for one more hour let alone another day. This is why it’s so important that we pray for and encourage one another. I never thought I’d lose heart when it came to praising God but I did and that can happen to anyone.

To those who are in a struggle today I encourage you to keep praising your Heavenly Father. Hang on in there; your help is on the way. Our Heavenly Father loves us with a great and everlasting love. His love will never fade away and there’s nothing we can do about it except receive it, embrace it and hang on to it for dear life. Dear ones believe me when I tell you no matter how long you’ve been struggling this too will pass. That you and I have the victory through Christ’s blood and his powerful name is not just a saying, it’s a promise!

If you are in need of prayer ask someone you can trust to pray with you; if not please know that we’re here and if you’d like to make a prayer request be assured that we will take it before the Lord. He still sits on the throne; His ears are ever open to His children’s cry and His eyes see every tear we shed. Although we may not personally know you, our Heavenly Father knows us all in a very real and personal way. He knows His children and we are the apples of His eye.

Zechariah 2:8 (NIV)

For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—

There is a song that says: When praises go up God’s blessings come down. Those lyrics have ringed true in my life and in many others’ lives – why can’t it ring true in yours? God is a keeper, his power is sustaining and his love for us is never-ending. Look up and be blessed.

Finally, please know that you are more to Rebecca and me than a face we see on Facebook or here on the blog; you’re our brothers and sisters in Christ. We love you and hope to encourage you in Christ, when you hurt we hurt and so does our Heavenly Father.

Remember, no matter what, praise God anyhow!
